Burnham United Junior Football Club was formed in 1967 and has been providing football opportunities for local youngsters for over 40 years.
In 2003 the Club achieved the prestigious F.A Charter Standard status, which reconises Clubs that are run in the way expected by the F.A. This includes having qualified coaches for all age groups, child protection policies and coaches and officials who have been checked via the Criminal records Bureau. The award has recently been renewed.
The Club aims to provide a safe, structured and fun enviroment for the children and were delighted to receive formal recognition and approval from the F.A. To further ensure the children's safety the club has 15 qualified first aiders and players are fully insured for matches and training.
In 2005 the Club won the Somerset F.A Chartered Standard Club Of The Year award, which was a proud achievement for everyone involved.
